Manoj Bajpai and Rajkumar Rao are in lead roles
The first look of Manoj Bajpai's role of a gay professor in director Hansal Mehta’s next film ‘Aligarh’ is out. In the picture, award winning actor Manoj Bajpai with his grey hair, beard and a brown suit, is seen clinging on to his bag.
Director Hansal Mehta, who won National Award for his last release ‘Shahid’, is also co-producing Aligarh. ‘Aligarh’ is reportedly based on the real life incident of Dr Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was terminated from his job because of his sexuality. Rajkumar Rao, who was also part of Shahid, will play the role of a journalist in the film, which is likely to release later this year.
